Before You Buy – LED Headlight Bulb FAQs
Are LED headlight bulbs compatible with my car?
LED headlight bulbs are designed to replace factory halogen bulbs only. Compatibility depends on your vehicle’s make, model, year, and bulb type (for example H7, H4, H11). Vehicles with factory xenon or factory LED headlights are not suitable for LED bulb conversions.
Will LED headlight bulbs cause dashboard warning lights?
Many modern vehicles use CanBus bulb monitoring systems. Our LED headlight bulbs feature built-in CanBus technology and are error-free in most vehicles. Some sensitive models may still require an additional resistor or decoder.
Are LED headlight bulbs legal in the UK?
LED bulbs fitted into halogen headlamp housings are not currently type-approved for road use in the UK. They do not automatically fail an MOT, but responsibility for legality remains with the vehicle owner.
Will LED headlight bulbs cause glare or dazzle other drivers?
When correctly specified and installed, LED headlight bulbs can produce a clean beam pattern. Our bulbs are designed with a 1:1 halogen filament position to maintain proper focus in both reflector and projector headlights.
Do LED headlight bulbs interfere with radio or DAB?
Low-quality LED bulbs can generate electrical interference. Our LED headlight bulbs use shielded drivers and quality electronics to minimise interference. Issues are rare but can occur on vehicles with weak aerial systems.
What warranty is included?
All LED headlight bulbs are supplied with a minimum 12-month warranty and full UK support.
